About the Team:

As a Cloud Operations Specialist you will be part of Cloud Release Deployment and Application Maintenance team. This team’s function is to perform the various application maintenance activities required to support our cloud customers hosted in the Google Cloud Platform and UKG Private Cloud environments.

About the Role:

A successful Cloud Operations Specialist should be able to demonstrate how they can apply their skills, experiences, and knowledge across defined industry practices and company policies to successfully complete the required maintenance activities. They must also be able to demonstrate a proper judgment in selecting the correct methods and techniques for obtaining successful resolutions as an issue arises.

• Install/Deploy Service Pack Releases

• Install/Deploy Application and SQL patches

• Install/Deploy Legislative updates/patches

• Perform application restarts

• Migrate customer reports and files from one environment to another

• Provide application support for OS level patching activities

• Make application-based configuration and setting changes

• Install/remove customer licensing files

• Install/update customer SSO metadata information

• Perform System Health Check of the customer’s application

• Utilization of a case/ticketing system to schedule, track, coordinate, and communicate maintenance activity progress.

• Create, track, and complete change request cases for required maintenance activities.

• Interact with customer when needed to obtain information/data/files needed for performing maintenance activities and provide timely and accurate updates through the final resolution.

Qualifications

About You:

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting application issues in Microsoft Windows server

• Experience running and utilizing PowerShell applications

• Experience managing and troubleshooting server level issues in a Linux OS utilizing command line only

• Experience supporting, testing, and troubleshooting Enterprise level applications

• Experience and knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated track record in delivering quality, on-time technology, and business solutions to a diverse world-wide customer base.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable in global working environment.

• Able to build and cultivate good teamwork with both internal and external teams.

• Understanding of ITIL and Agile best practices

• Ability to be flexible with permanent schedule which may include evenings and/or weekends.

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

• Google Cloud Platform Certification

• Linux Certification
