About the Team:

UKG is seeking a seasoned VMware Administrator capable of integrating into an experienced team responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of company's global network, services and hosted solution.

About the Role:

• Manage Public Cloud Infrastructure /VMware Infrastructure/vSphere clusters on Production, Corporate and Test/Development environments.

• Fine tune VMs configurations to get the best performance/resource consumption

• Detection of VMware issues, monitoring and ownership of standards and requirements.

• Participate in capacity planning for the infrastructure.

• Provide tools and procedures for resources provisioning.

• Propose VMs provisioning solutions to be analyzed and/or implemented.

• Document existing and new infrastructure deployments using Run Book and architecture diagrams.

• Implement processes to standardize IT practices and procedures, capacity planning and risk mitigation.

• Collaborate with Corporate IT, Technical Operations and DBA teams to assess future growth and capacity requirements.

• Participate in 24x7 system support rotation and handle escalations.

• Proactively research new and/or updated technologies as they come available that pertain to our environment.

• Able to see gaps and areas of improvement in process as well as technologies, providing recommendations and taking the initiative to fix issues are qualities we love to see in our teams

Qualifications

About You:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have at least 8 years of hands-on experience managing large Virtual Infrastructure with multiple VMWare ESX clusters.

• Experience with VMware version 6.7 is mandatory.

• Should have good knowledge of Python, PowerShell, vROPs and Zerto.

• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux in Virtual Setup.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience utilizing automation tools like Terraform and Ansible

• Experience utilizing monitoring using New Relic / Dynatrace

• Experience with centralized logging solutions like Splunk

• Experience with CI/CD tooling similar to Jenkins / Rightscale

• Thorough knowledge with 3Par with emphasis on performance and reliability is a plus.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes would be an advantage.

• 4-year technical degree or equivalent.

• Experience working with offshore delivery company and distributed teams

• VMWare certification and GCP knowledge is a plus.

• Proven track record delivering high quality and consistent systems and environments

• Ability to multi-task; working on multiple project teams and wearing multiple hats is very common at UKG

• Passionate about technology and its use to power business success

• Leader with intellectual curiosity and an ability to self-manage

• Great communicator and problem solver. Unconventional solutions and box-busting thinking should not deter you

• Quick learner and able to adapt to new technologies and teams quickly

• People person who can interact well in both group and one-to-one settings
