About the Team:

This team, Catalyst, is highly visible inside UKG with an innovative culture. It has an outsized impact on our organization and the market at large and is responsible for accelerating innovation at UKG. We conduct primary and secondary market research and facilitate innovation across the organization, enabling market experiments. The team is accountable for delivering written research and insights on our market and creating innovation opportunities including internal generative AI enablement, innovation competitions and hackathons for developers and non-developers, startup collaborations, and invention evaluation for strategic investment.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented part market research analyst and part innovation program specialist to support the development and execution of our research and innovation activities. This role provides a great opportunity for an analytical and dynamic individual to be part of a high-performing team, gain experience in a range of HCM (Human Capital Management) market research and insights methodologies, and to support a large corporation in its innovation efforts by staying ahead of the competition and market needs while providing strategic insights to drive informed decision-making.

They will be responsible for some of our research efforts such as:

• Conducting in-depth research and analysis on competitor strategy and market positioning, and industry and market trends.

• Proactively staying up to date on industry conferences, events, and publications.

• Clearly articulating and presenting actionable insights and recommendations to executive, product, and engineering leaders, and other cross-functional partners to shape ongoing product strategy, market positioning, and execution plans.

• Strategically evaluating new business and product opportunities.

And contribute to other innovation programs such as:

• Supporting our UKG Labs program, company-wide innovation and hackathon events including fostering AI innovation, and our patent program efforts and promoting key learnings from these engagements.

• Support the team’s research and innovation work by compiling, reviewing, proofing, and editing documents, reports, videos, sessions, and other content or presenting and publishing to our innovation platforms, SharePoint, and other internal sites and through other targeted content delivery mechanisms.

• Gathering success metrics and engagement stories.

• Working with vendors to create more innovation opportunities internally.

Qualifications

About You:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

• 1+ year of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or related field.

• Experienced in researching, identifying and presenting industry trends using external sources.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Highly analytical, curious, and data driven with thirst for knowledge, and a proven ability use storytelling through narrative to impact and influence decisions from research and innovation work.

• Strong narrative writing, storytelling, communication, and presentation skills. Able to convey complex information to diverse audiences. PowerPoint, SharePoint publishing, and Excel use are beneficial.

• Comfortable navigating global organization structures and working across cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with Human Capital Management (HCM) or Workforce Management (WFM) solution industries.
