Description & Qualifications

Description

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, enhancing, and maintaining existing products and building new functionality while ensuring the quality and excellence of our products. Embedded within an agile development team, you will work side by side with other Developers, QA and Business Analysts to create and validate application quality. You will create solutions, design and write code using your specialized knowledge of coding techniques, tech stacks and best practices, as well as your knowledge of technical architecture and design. In our highly-collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to continually grow as an engineer, and mentor others get to your level.

• Developing software products using modelling techniques and software design patterns

• Developing web-based business applications

• Participate in coding & designing of the application software

• Participate in Tech upgrade activity like Spring Boot, JDK versions.

• Should have participated in Application Automation and have experience in Selenium or similar Tech.

• Interpret informal requirement descriptions and detail them for other team members consumption

• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure quality and conformance to product standards

• Maintain and support existing application 24x7.

• Participate in the teams on-call rotation worked on alerting mechanism.

Qualifications

• 8+ Yrs of relevant IT experience.

• Software development experience in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development lifecycle.

• Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience

• Experience in object-oriented analysis, microservice architecture, design patterns & programming, and writing effective unit test automations.

• Good understanding of software security practices

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills and passion for cutting edge technologies

• Knowledge of OOP design patterns, Java, Microservices Architecture, Angular Type script, CSS, Node, HTML, Consuming Restful API’s, End to end UI Testing, React, Ajax, Javascript

• Knowledge of SQL, Spring framework, Hibernate, Rabbit MQ, Redis, Microservices, API, Gateway, Restful, Spring Security, Built tools like Maven, Junit, Performance testing

• Ability to write code and test your own work and develop automated tests using Selenium or similar tools.

• Devops skills for end-to-end delivery and deployment

• Strong hands on database modelling, relational and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, and techniques/tools such as MySQL, SQL, etc.

• Excellent problem solving and communication skills

• Experience with, or understanding of, Agile/Lean Software Development practices such as Kanban (preferable) or Scrum and TDD (Test-Driven Development)
