About the role
This is a major opportunity for any developer who is passionate about engineering innovative web services, and truly enjoys what they do. As part of this team, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to be involved in the full project lifecycle of our next generation internal tool and systems which currently enable our teams to streamline activities across all areas of the business
We are searching for motivated, talented and self-driven people to join our software development centre.
As a member of UKG you will have the opportunity to contribute and participate in the following capacities:
• Participate in a fast-paced Agile development team building full-scale software systems.
• Design and build advanced software solutions that scale and meet business requirements.
• Work with a team of peers who are smart, professional, pull their own weight, and share a passion for what they are creating.
• Design and develop our core web application using service-oriented architecture exposing APIs for internal and external clients.
• Implement architecture and design patterns to help ensure that systems scale.
• Establish processes and best practices around development standards.
• Review product requirements in order to give development estimates and product feedback.
• Apply technical expertise to challenging architecture and design problems.
Qualifications
Required skills and competencies:
• 2+ years experience in software development
• Experience in enterprise-grade web application development using C# / .NET, MVC, WEB API, NHibernate, and Entity Framework.
• Mandatory experience working in an Agile environment
• Knowledge of SQL and database design.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Produce innovative technical design and technical specifications.
• Ability to work and communicate clearly and efficiently with team members.
• Strong knowledge of Web Standards and Technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
• A proponent of continuous integration, unit testing and automation.
Nice to have:
• Experience with enterprise-scale systems is a major plus.
• Scrum certification.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, .Net Core and Angular2 and above.
