We are looking for a Manager of Software Engineering to join the Payment Solutions value stream and lead an experienced software development team responsible for delivering innovative and compliant solutions for our Treasury Operations and Accounting services.

You will be responsible for the direct management of a fast-evolving product engineering team. You must be passionate about developing and growing engineers, leveraging modern technologies to rapidly deliver products with high quality and increasing operational efficiently through continuous process improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive innovation and manage product development teams within a fast paced, agile environment

• Cultivate an environment of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics

• Recruit IT professionals with business and industry experience, and develop, reward and energize a competent, effective team within the technology organization. Identify and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce

• Engage in hands-on design and ensure alignment of strategy, architecture, tools/methods with software engineers and architects to execute product roadmaps

• Collaborate with a wide variety to stakeholders within business and technology teams to drive change required to execute product roadmaps

• Enable integrated teams to deliver technology solutions in support of key product initiatives by working closely with product managers, technical project managers, architects, engineers, and quality assurance

• Own team processes to increase efficiency. Develop, measure and interpret statistics that serve as indicators of team performance. Use this information to drive continuous improvement initiatives

• Set the example and expectations for team conduct. Inspire positive behavior and interactions. When needed, directly address, and resolve, behavior that falls below expectations

• Setting, communicating, and monitoring performance and development goals and achievements of individual team members on an on-going basis

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience managing software engineering teams designing and building software products in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic product development environment

• Extensive hands-on experience building and managing the development of complex, large scale enterprise applications and products that require a deep understanding of application logic and dependencies

• Proven experience attracting, hiring, retaining, and leading top engineering talent and high-performance product engineering teams

• Experience with, or understanding of, Agile/Lean Software Development practices such as Kanban or Scrum

• Experience operating in a cloud/on-premise hybrid IT landscape

• Strong experience working with continuous integration and continuous delivery

• Ability to be onsite in the Weston office 3 days per week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with deploying apps using docker/containers/K8s

• Experience building SaaS-based, multitenant solutions

• Experience with event-driven architectures

• Experience working in an offshore and onshore model

• Excellent leadership and communication skills (verbal and written)
